This handcrafted saya is a Green Rayskin–Wrapped Saya (緑鮫皮包鞘), featuring a vibrant green finish that adds distinctive texture and visual depth, providing a refined yet powerful alternative to conventional lacquer-only saya. The green tone conveys freshness, strength, and elegance, while preserving the understated aesthetics of traditional craftsmanship.

The koiguchi (mouth), kurigata (cord knob), and kojiri (end cap) are crafted from polished natural horn, ensuring structural integrity alongside organic beauty. Each saya is individually handmade, guaranteeing precise proportions, visual harmony, and long-term durability. The overall impression is composed, robust, and elegant—ideal for mounting as part of a complete koshirae, or appreciated on its own as a finely executed traditional sword fitting.

The wrap may be made of either Imitation Rayskin or Genuine Rayskin (Samegawa), depending on selection.

The saya shown in the photos is sized for a katana, but wakizashi and tanto sizes are also available, all at the same price.
