This handcrafted saya features a Shuro Raden-nuri (棕櫚螺鈿塗) finish—an exquisite technique combining the fibrous texture of Shuro-nuri (棕櫚塗) with luminous shell inlay (raden). The surface displays a dynamic interplay of earthy brown tones and iridescent fragments that shift between silver, blue, and green under the light, creating a sophisticated balance between natural texture and celestial brilliance.

The koiguchi (mouth), kurigata (cord knob), and kojiri (end cap) are crafted from polished natural horn, providing durability and organic refinement. Each saya is individually handmade, ensuring balance, durability, and unique artistry. The result is an elegant piece—ideal for koshirae mounting, or appreciated as a lacquered art object in its own right.
