This handcrafted saya features a Kasshoku Nashiji-nuri (褐色梨子地塗) finish—a traditional lacquer technique using fine nashiji powder to create a shimmering, speckled effect over a warm brown base. The result is a rich, amber-brown tone that sparkles subtly under the light, blending elegance with understated refinement.

The koiguchi (mouth), kurigata (cord knob), and kojiri (end cap) are crafted from polished natural horn, providing structural strength and natural beauty. Each saya is individually handmade, ensuring precision, harmony, and lasting durability. The overall presentation is warm, refined, and dignified—perfect for mounting as part of a complete koshirae, or appreciated on its own as a lacquered art object.
