This handcrafted saya features a Cha-ishime-nuri (茶石目塗) finish—a brown lacquer surface textured with fine stone-like granules. The ishime technique creates a subtle, matte appearance that emphasizes durability and understated elegance, offering a more subdued alternative to glossy lacquer styles. The warm brown tone adds a natural, earthy character while preserving the refined aesthetics of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

The koiguchi (mouth), kurigata (cord knob), and kojiri (end cap) are made from polished natural horn, ensuring both structural strength and organic beauty. Each saya is individually handmade, guaranteeing precise proportions, visual harmony, and lasting durability.
